The Velociraptor field was situated next to the temporary base camp of the InGen Hunters and separated it from the Worker Village. The field consisted of waist-length grass in which a pack of Velociraptors had made their territory. In a panic from their escape of the Tyrannosaurus pair, the InGen Hunters ran into the Field. Their escape was cut short as they were hunted and killed systematically by the raptors with Ajay Sidhu being the last one of the hunters to die. Nick Van Owen discovers the remains of Ajay’s bag in the grass, which is part of the impetus for Ian Malcolm to realize that there were raptors in the Long Grass and tell the group to run.
