Velociraptor "antirrhopus" (*) (CB-Topps)

“Swift Robber” first discovered and described by Henry Fairfield Osborn in 1924 in what is now the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. Velociraptor lived in the Late Cretaceous around 67 million years ago. It was 1.8 meters (6 feet) in length, 1 meter (3 feet) tall and 60 pounds (25 kilos) in weight. In reality, real Velociraptors were quite smaller than those featured in “Jurassic Park”, which are much closer in size comparison to Deinonychus. Deinonychus’ name means “Terrible Claw” and it was discovered by Paleontology revolutionary Dr. John Ostrom in 1964 and named in 1969. Deinonychus weighed 160 pounds (73 kilos) and was 4 meters (13 feet) in length and nearly 1.8 meters (6 feet) high. Like most theropods (Dilophosaurus for example) in the comics they are portrayed as vicious machine killers.
