Torosaurus latus (L/M)

Torosaurus is a genus of large ceratopsid dinosaur in the subfamily Chasmosaurinae. It originally lived between 68 and 66 million years ago, during the Maastrichtian stage of the late Cretaceous period. Fossilized remains have been found in western North America. There is only one confirmed species, Torosaurus latus, though some paleontologists believe there may be a second species which they name Torosaurus utahensis. Other paleontologists believe that Torosaurus is not a legitimate genus at all, but instead a matured form of Triceratops.
