Brusatte hails from the University of Edinburgh, and holds a PhD from Columbia University. Brusatte’s paleontological speciality is on the anatomy and evolution of dinosaurs.

In addition his experience is such that he has authored, or co-authored over 100 papers in scientific journals. His most recent publication, which was promoted by the director in the announcement tweet, was The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World.

Jurassic World 3 is being directed by Colin Trevorrow, and he is also an executive producer for the film alongside Steven Spielberg. Pat Crowley will co-produce the film along with Frank Marshall. The as yet untitled film will be released on June 11, 2021, and is currently set to film under the working title of ‘Arcadia’.
