South Beach was a stretch of territory on Isla Sorna; an island that served as the research station for International Genetic Technologies‘ project, Jurassic Park. South Beach was populated with several incomplete structures, a Jurassic Park billboard, some fencing and the start of the mass transit monorail system. The monorail was incomplete by the time the island was evacuated in 1989 and was inoperable, save a brief message on the intercom of the structure. Brachiosaurs and several Velociraptors staked territorial claims of South Beach.
