Will Tobias is the sheriff of a small town in the desert of southern California. Front and center in the midst of the action in the Devils of the Desert storyline, he along with his deputy, Agent Harding, and Dr. Monica Alvarez investigate the strange attacks and cattle mutilations that are going on. Will has a personal history with Sara Franklin, and is also Tyler Franklin’s real father.
In the last issue of the series he and Monica are tracking down the remaining Pteranodons, when their plane crashes in a local zoo. Will gets out and starts firing on the pterosaurs. One of the Pteranodons attacks before Will can pull out his pistol and he his killed. The series ends with his funeral.
