Radio Collars (C/N)

The radio collars were leather bands, with a small metal box attached to each band. The band was fastened by Velcro. After Dr. Alan Grant captured a juvenile Velociraptor on Isla Nublar, christened “Clarence” by Lex Murphy, Lex placed the radio collar on the raptor. With the help of a radio tracking headset, Robert Muldoon, Donald Gennaro, Ellie Sattler, and Grant used the raptor to locate the nest. Later, the same raptor approached Ellie in the nest. She removed the collar, which was chafing against the juvenile’s neck, and placed it on the ground. When the raptors left the nest, the radio collar was forgotten there.
