New York Zoological Society (C/N)

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), formerly known as the New York Zoological Society (NYZS) was founded in 1895 and is based at the Bronx Zoo. The society currently manages approximately 200 million acres of wild lands across the globe and leads more than 500 field conservation projects in sixty countries with two hundred scientists on staff. It also manages five different facilities in New York City: the Bronx Zoo, the Central Park Zoo, the New York Aquarium, the Prospect Park Zoo, and the Queens Zoo; altogether, these sites welcome more than four million guests each year.
