A fourteen year old teenager, part of Simon Tunney’s survival journey. Matt’s father worked in the military dealing with special weapons. When Biggs wanted more light to film, he lit a thousand-watt lamp which first entranced the group of Compsognathus they found but after some sudden movements the small dinosaurs attacked. The teens escaped with only minor injuries.
Later, during a Velociraptor attack, Simon told Matt to open his bag and use explosives he hat gotten from his father. It was revealed that instead of explosives, several fireworks had been stuffed inside since his father did not bring any of the weapons home. The fireworks were lit and the dinosaurs scattered. When Alan Grant and the other scientists arrived, he joined the other teens and stole one of the Humvees in order to continue their journey.
