Levine's satellite phone (C/N)

Doctor Levine’s satellite phone was designed and constructed by Doctor Jack Thorne. When Levine fails to show up at Thorne’s workshop for a planned field test of the equipment (Vehicles, the high-hide) Arby Benton suggests Thorne to call Levine on the satellite phone. According to Arby, the satellite phone contains a “VLSI com board,” with “two Motorola BSN-23 chip arrays,”: Arby has figured out that this technology is limited to the CIA. The restricted technology allowed Thorne to design a satellite phone which weighs no more than one pound, rather than being the size of a suitcase. The phone is gray and looks like a cellular phone.

To set up a conversation with the satellite phone, the person receiving a call must press the “T” (transmit) button to be able to receive the call and hear the caller.
