“Indricotherium” sp. (L/M)

Indricotherium” (now known as Paraceratherium) is a genus of extremely large hornless rhinoceros in the family Paraceratheriidae. It originally lived from 34 to 23 million years ago, during the Priabonian age of the Paleogene period until the Aquitanian age of the Neogene. Fossils are found in Eurasia. Taxonomy of this genus is complicated, but it is currently thought to include four species: Paraceratherium bugtiense, Paraceratherium transouralicum, Paraceratherium huangheense, and Paraceratherium linxiaense. It may be that P. bugtiense and P. transouralicum are males and females of the same species, which would mean there are only three species.
