Henry Poincaré (April 29th, 1854 – July 17th, 1912) was a famous French theoretical physicist, mathematician, engineer and a philosopher of science, often described as a polymath, and was said to have excelled in all fields of the discipline as it existed during his life. He is considered to be one of the founding fathers of topology, and has won several awards and places named after him both in his lifetime and after his death.
