A helipad is a designated area from which helicopters can take off and land. Isla Nublar had a helipad compound, located at the edge of a waterfall that flowed from the major river that cut deep into the island, and was used as the arrival and departure site for the inspection team that John Hammond had invited to Isla Nublar for the June 12/13th weekend in 1993. It has a single known road that leads to and from it, which also passes through a herbivore dinosaur paddock. It is unknown of the infrastructure survived the firebombing of the island.
