The small helicopter is used in issue one of Devils in the Desert. Whether it is privately owned or is one that is owned by the small town in southern California is unknown. But when agents Harding and Kowalski arrive one of the first things they want to do in their investigation of the attacks that have been taking place around the area is take a helicopter up and survey the area and see what they can find. The type of helicopter that it is isn’t specified in the comics.
The hunters in issue three of Devils in the Desert also use a privately owned helicopter to help them hunt down the Pteranodons.
