Gentle Giants Petting Zoo – Isla Nublar (S/F)

petting-zoo-signAn attraction at Jurassic World, Isla Nublar, the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo allows guests to get up close to docile young dinosaurs such as Triceratops, Apatosaurus, and Gallimimus. Although visitors are allowed to feed and interact with the baby animals, signs do warn against visitors feeding them anything other than the designated food, which costs $5 US dollars. Rides are also allowed, however helmets are a requirement. Each of the young herbivores in the attraction can eat up to 24 pounds of food in a day, and have attempted to eat the straw hats of the guests. Signs also remind visitors not to taunt, tease, or harass the young dinosaurs. During the Jurassic World Incident, Pteranodons frenzy around the Gentle Giants enclosure, picking off the young dinosaurs. One particularly brazen Pteranodon attempted lifting an infant Triceratops, but eventually dropped the infant, which was too heavy to fly away with.
