Franchi SPAS-12 (T/C)

One of the first weapons the player finds, the Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun is probably one of the most iconic weapons in the game, as it is featured heavily in the first Jurassic Park film, used primarily by Robert Muldoon and Alan Grant. Many prefer it for its power, ease of use, and relatively tight spread. It downs most raptors with one or two well-placed head-shots, but “Tribe C” raptors can take multiple shots before falling.

Originally intended to be a semi-automatic weapon, which it is in the game, the SPAS-12 also has a pump-action mode used for firing low-pressure ammunition, such as tear-gas canisters or less-than-lethal bean bags.

The SPAS-12 fires 12-gauge, 2 3/4 in. shells, at four rounds per second (semi-automatic; in-game is slower). Like most shotguns, it uses an internal tube feed system, with an eight-plus-one round capacity.

The barrel length is 546 mm (22 in.).
