Dunkleosteus sp. (L/M)

Dunkleosteus is a large placoderm fish in the family Dunkleosteidae. It originally lived from the Frasnian to Famennian stages of the late Devonian period, 382 to 358 million years ago. Fossils are found in Africa, Europe, and North America. There are ten known species so far: the type and largest species D. terrelli, D. belgicus, D. denisoni, D. marsaisi, D. magnificus, D. missouriensis, D. newberryi, D. amblyodoratus, and D. raveri.
