Daeodon shoshonensis (L/M)

Daeodon is a genus of carnivorous artiodactyl in the family Entelodontidae. Its fossils are found in North America. This animal lived between 29 and 15.97 million years ago, from the Rupelian age of the Paleogene period until the Langhian age of the Neogene. The only universally recognized species is Daeodon shoshonensis, though some paleontologists believe there may be a second species which they call Daeodon humerosum.
