The Clinica Santa Maria is the name of a fictional hospital in the Costa Rican Province of Puntarenas. It was to this hospitals that Mike and Ellen Bowman took their daughter Tina, for treatment after she was bitten by the Procompsognathus. Dr. Cruz was an employee at the hospital. The hospital was equipped with a modern laboratory in the basement, with the tools necessary to analyze DNA from saliva.
