Barney Fellows worked at Symbolics near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. When computer programmer Dennis Nedry was contracted by InGen to build a park control program that required 3 Billion fields of data records, Nedry consulted with Fellows to discuss why a company would require the use of so much data. Unfortunately, all Nedry could find out was that InGen was working with DNA sequencing, as Nedry could not give very much information due to being under a nondisclosure agreement.
