Anomalocaris canadensis (L/M)

Anomalocaris is a genus of large marine radiodont in the family Anomalocarididae. It originally lived between 520 and 499 million years ago, during the Cambrian period (originating in the unnamed Cambrian Stage 3 and living until the Guzhangian age). Fossils are primarily found in North America. While there are numerous unnamed species, and some which may be misidentified, one is formally recognized: Anomalocaris canadensis.
