Alexander's Ragtime Band Nonlethals (C/N)

Alexander’s ragtime band nonlethals was a pack of several non lethal canister weaponry. The carrying case was a rough canvas bag marked by the universal sign for lethality, the skull and crossbones. Despite this warning sign, all contents inside were made up of nonlethal weapons.

The interior was divided up into padded sections that contained 3 area-dispersal smoke cubes that, like it’s namesake, produced a cloud of smoke when detonated. There was also a small, silver cylindrical container that was a cholinesterase bomb. With detonator primer that lasted only 3 seconds, once primed the result was the dispersal of gas that caused short term paralysis for a matter of a few minutes. This particular bomb proved particularly useful to Dr. Richard Levine‘s expedition team in 1995 on Isla Sorna.

During the expedition, one of the children, Arby Benton, was captured by Velociraptors. This forced Dr. Levine and Dr. Jack Thorne to pursue the predators to their nest, where Thorne used a canister of the cholinesterase gas to paralyze the raptors and save Arby. Later, at the Trailers, Dr. Sarah Harding had to use the canisters on Velociraptors in order to allow her and the rest of the team to escape to a safer area.
