Tyler is the “son” of Eddie Franklin (although really Will Tobias’ son.) He goes into town to get Will Tobias, which starts up the story line of Devils in the Desert. Later on he goes out looking for his missing father (Eddie) and ends up being attacked by the Pteranodons that are nesting in the area. Agent Harding, Will Tobias, and Dr. Monica Alvarez arrive on the scene and rescue the boy.
