“Roofed Lizard” discovered in Colorado in 1876 by M. P. Felch & described by Othniel C. Marsh in 1877. Stegosaurus lived during the Late Jurassic Period about 154 to 150 million years ago. It was 7 meters (23 ft.) in length, 3 meters (10 ft.) in height at the top of the plates, & 4 tons in weight. It has four tail spikes called thagomizer with the biggest ones at almost 1 meter (3ft.) in length. It isn’t known for sure what species of Stegosaurus is featured in the comics due inconsistence of the drawings.
