The San Francisco Superior Court is one of California’s Superior Courts, created in 1976. The Court was created as part of the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project, a non-profit organization which provides alternative punishments for misdemeanor offenders and parking violators in an attempt to split petty offenders from more serious criminals and relieve overcrowded courtrooms.
