A Paradigm Shift is a scientific concept that describes a major shift in the established scientific worldview. Paradigm Shifts usually occur after a major discovery or theory is put forward. These changes occur slowly, however, about once a century. Examples of theories that caused such shifts include Evolution and Quantum Mechanics. As Malcom lay severely injured, he confided to Harding about the possibility of the park having the potential to cause such a shift. When Harding pressed him for more, Malcom hinted that it was possibly beyond the established definition for a paradigm shift.
