Massachusetts Institute of Technology (C/N)

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also known by MIT, is a private research university founded in 1861 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. MIT has five schools and one college with thirty-two total divisions. As expected, given its name, its primary academic and research emphasis is on the sciences, engineering and technology. Due to its high standards of enrollment and education, along with its location within the United States and reputation, MIT is frequently mentioned as a secondary Ivy League school, along with the University of Chicago.
