Today, Variety revealed that Dwanda Wise had been cast as a lead role in Jurassic World 3. As with the previously revealed casting, this news was confirmed by Director Colin Trevorrow on Twitter. Dwanda joins Mamoudou Athie as the other new incoming lead for the movie.
Dwanda’s previous credits include main cast roles in the television series “She’s got to have it” and “Shots Fired.” Her most recent film credits include “Something Great”, and she will star in the upcoming film, ‘Fatherhood’. Much like the previous casting, Dwanda’s role in Jurassic World 3 will mark the first time she will play a lead in a major Hollywood film.
Jurassic World 3 is due to release on June 11, 2021. It is being directed by Colin Trevorrow, with the script being co-written by Emily Charmichael. Returning cast members confirmed for the film include Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Ian Malcolm, Sam Neil and Laura Dern.
