Jurassic Park Builder Closing March 30th, 2020

Mobile game developer, Ludia announced today that it will be closing down Jurassic Park: Builder as of March 30th, 2020. The developer had earlier indicated it was ending support for Google Play/Android Devices as well as Facebook games last year. This move is not surprising as the game has been slowly losing popularity and the successor, Jurassic World: The Game as well as Jurassic World Alive have been gaining popularity. Jurassic Park Builder was originally released in 2012 and was playable for nearly a decade. Below is information regarding the closure of the game.

On March 30, 2020 we are discontinuing support for the game, there will be no further content or functionality updates and the game’s servers will be shut down completely. Game progress and in-game items will not be saved, and user data will be unavailable after such date.

In-app purchases will be disabled on February 28, 2020 If you have any in-game currency remaining, please remember to use it before Jurassic Park Builder goes offline and the game is no longer playable on March 30, 2020.

You can read the full statement on Ludia’s Jurassic Park: Builder Facebook page.

  1. This is really sad, it’s a game I played since I was seven and I really worked hard,I spent more than 100$.But Jurassic world is also a good game

  2. So, can you not play the game if you already have it? Will no one be able to play it? Cuz I spent a lot of Time and money on the game, and I don’t want it to go away.

  3. Basically the game stopped being supported by Google Play. I have an android, so when I went to play the game it would have trouble connecting to things. I ended up removing it since there was no estimated time to repair for the game to be fixed in terms of compatibility. Eventually the full shutdown announcement was broke and that means everything in the game will cease to be as of March 30th. I don’t want it to go away either because it worked as a good coping mechanism for me whenever I would feel anxious, but unfortunately it’s going to go extinct whether we want it to or not.

  4. Do not shut it down I have Ben playing it sense it came out it is my vavret game and the best game ever so please pleas don’t shut it down.

  5. While I empathize with your feelings, this site is not responsible for what happens in the ultimate fate of the game. Ludia is the game developer and people who oversee the game. Hopefully they will reconsider at some point, but I think this is a thing that can’t be stopped.

  6. I really loved Jurassic Park builder i was in love with it since 3rd grade , it’s so sad to see something like a best friend go away 😭(I’m in 10th grade now just some extra information )

  7. It hurts me to seee the game leave I can remeber stressing over the fact of not getting the dna 🧬 I wanted in the expeditions and it hurts me knowing that ludia decides to put such an amazing game away RIP OG Dinos forever in our hearts 💔💔

  8. Why tho why, like why not make an upgrade on it or somethin, but now that its gone and no longer to play. And i played this since i was 5, sadness really disappointed but if u have too then it will be that way it will never be forgotten

  9. My seven year old is really upset about this. He just discovered it was no longer working.

  10. I am a Jurassic Park fanatic and I loved this game. Jurassic World the game is all about battling dinosaurs which isn’t that cool. I hope ludia makes a similar game for us to play.

  11. I was very upset when the game was shut down. But when I discovered Jurassic World Evolution I was very happy because in that game you can build your own Jurassic Park and it’s more realistic.

  12. Very upset and annoyed by this my son has spent his pocket money buying things on here for many years. Do we get a refund for this you have distressed a child with additional needs not happy.

  13. I would really recommend trying to contact Ludia support to see what they can offer you if they can offer anything. Unfortunately, we are only just a fan site posting news that is relevant to the fandom here.

  14. What a huge disappointment. Another company that makes great games and yet I can very comfortably say I’ll never support it with purchases ever again. I’ve played it since I was 12 almost the entirety of its release, loving it and spending my paper route money on it. Why not do what other companies have done and leave the game going while just not updating it anymore. I feel absolutely betrayed.

  15. because keeping the servers up costs money and as the game lost popularity the cost of keeping the servers up outweighed the profit from the game so they were actually loosing money

  16. I just now looked up Jurassic park builder on the App Store and all I saw was the Jurassic world games. I am very sad because I have played this game forever. 😢Rip Jurassic park builder😢
