InGen has their own specially modified all-terrain vehicles that they bring out to the location in southern California to help them capture the loose Pteranodons.
The vehicles somewhat resemble dune buggies, and are actually mistaken for just that by Dr. Monica Alvarez. They are in fact modified vehicles that are equipped with net cannons and can go over various types of terrain at high speeds.
