The faxed X-Ray was sent to Alan Grant by Alice Levin. The X-ray documented the sample of the Procompsognathus that had been collected by Marty Guitierrez. Alice sent the x-ray to Grant in order to prove to her colleagues that the specimen was in fact a dinosaur.Ironically, Grant initially believed it to be a hoax, until well into the events of the Nublar Incident. However, Grant would observe that faking an X-ray was incredibly difficult, as well as Procompsognathus being an animal too obscure to be credibly faked.Later, Hammond mentioned that he was attempting to send the x-ray to Isla Nublar to try to prove it a fake.
