Kowalski is one of the two FBI agents sent to the small town on federal orders to help track down the missing Eddie Franklin. While searching the area where they found Eddie’s body in a helicopter, the chopper is attacked. Nothing is seen, but it’s heard over Harding’s radio. Kowalski dies in the crash.
