Allosaurus was named in 1877 by Othniel Marsh. It was about 27 ft. long ( 8 m ) and about 9 ft. ( 2.7 m.) tall. This “different lizard “ inhabited North America ( and possibly Africa if studies prove correct ) in the late 
Jurassic Period, about 150-140 million years ago. It was the type species of the family Allosauroidea, which also included Neovenator and Carcharodontosaurus.
Allosaurus appears twice in the Dangerous Games series. Once
in issue one when it attacks Espinoza after the agent had killed a parasaur.
The allosaur then subsequently gets killed by Dr. White’s pack of Velociraptors
in order to save Agent Espinoza. The second appearance of the allosaur is in
the last issue of the series. A pair of allosaurs chase after Espinoza after he
speeds past them on a dirt bike. The agent gets to the helicopter and takes off
just before the two predators can reach him.
